The Renown Transplant Institute® is the first hospital collaboration to expand transplantation within NTI's network, creating the first kidney transplant program in northern Nevada. As the only not-for-profit academic healthcare network in the state, Renown Health’s world-class team of medical experts joins together with 64% of Nevadans who are registered organ, eye and tissue donors, financial contributors and hundreds of residents currently on the kidney transplant waiting list. The Renown Transplant Institute® brings essential services, hope and life-saving treatment to people with end-stage kidney disease.

Ernesto P. Molmenti, M.D., PH.D. M.B.A. is the inaugural Transplant Surgeon at the Renown Transplant Institute and Chief of Transplant Surgery. Additionally, Narisorn Atsava-Svate, MD, is the region’s first transplant nephrologist joining the esteemed Renown Health team in providing comprehensive transplant services. This includes pre-transplant evaluation, surgical procedures and post-transplant care (all under one roof and in Reno).
